Oh my God! A Stephenie Meyer thread!!!! I have to post here because I am too obsessed with Twilight, and I'll probably be for the rest of my life. I'm sure everyone must know how-I-love-Twilight. Edward is MY brand of heroin. Evil or Very Mad Bella can't snatch him away from me.

My copy of Twilight is arriving soon... New Moon will take a little longer, but I'm waiting.

In a period of 5 weeks, I read Twilight.... wait for it... 8 times. Seriously. I was just too obsessed with it. It was like, "finish the book and read it again." Over and over. Geez, I'm certifiably crazy now...

OMFG, 2 or 4 dollars???????? IN Australia it costs around $25, and that's when it's CHEAP. All books cost a hell of a lot of money for us. Damn it.

Thats because we have to Special order everything, seeing as our bookshops don't have all the great books.. Sigh sigh sighhh

But aww! I remember picking it up from the bookshelf that first time (I've never seen it in a bookstore in Aus since..). I read the blurb and was all "Ehh sounds kinda lamee.." Then i read the final page (thats just what i do, okay?) Then the first page, then a random one in the middle (its how i decide if i would like that book or not!!) and decided to give it a shot! (Mind you, i bought it the same day as i bought Uglies & Pretties.. one of the best days of my life hehe).

Then i read it and it was NOTHING of what i expected. It was just. AH! The best thing ever. Then i made 4 of my friends read it. They love it as well. Waiting for New Moon desperately. Then i came on the net and found Stephenie Meyer's site and it was fabulous. Then the Lexicon was made and i realised.. I wasn't the only one totally obsessed! Thank goodness.. Heheheh. Ahhh It is such a big craze now!

I probably wouldn't have read Twilight if it wasn't for Uglies. When I was still in my "Oh my God I LOVE UGLIES!!!!!" crazy fan thing, my friend borrowed Peeps from our school library. I wanted to read all of Scott's books, since I really liked his writing style, so I flipped through Peeps. But before that, I wasn't really a vampire-novel person. I was more anti-vampire-novel. But Peeps was really awesome. And so ...

Hmm, I think it was people on Westerboard who were trying to get me to read Twilight. And then I went to summer camp and some of my friends reccomended it to me (I told them to read Uglies). I read it just to see if it was really any good.

Of course, it was. Totally. Amazing!!

I was the same way!

I had never read a Vampire novel before Twilight, and I only read it because of Kell-wa and Michelle-wa on westerboard... now I can't get enough of vampires!

I made 20 people obsessed with Twilight in ONE DAY. They took one look at my Twilight-covered folder and started asking questions. Then they went home and reserved it in the library.

Yeah... I influence people.

Haha, can't influence people like that anymore.. At one stage i could. But now i play jokes & stuff on all my friends so they don't listen to me anymore.. Ahhh sigh. Its really funny though! Hehe.
Still. I got 4 onto Twilight! Its enough for now...

I'm pretty sure everybody didn't like the looks of Twilight, but read it anyway and felt much better afterwards.

OOO! Reading Twilight is like taking medicine! At first you really don't want to. But then you do anyway and feel much MUCH better. Then sometimes you get addicted! Well the weird ones do anyway.

Yeahh... My analogy sucks but eh. Twilight. Very Happy

If everyone sane got addicted you would have a hard time fighting off all the new Edward-lovers. I'd stick with weird if i were you. But then I'm not you, no matter how freakishly similar we may be.. Shocked Smile

i made my friend read it (practically stalked the girl who had it checked out from the library to make sure she would give it up soon -^.^-)
and he didnt like it!!!
his least favorite part was Edward
@.@

i felt like i had jumped through a portal to the...well I was gonna say Twilight Zone - but thats a little more pun that I have stomach for
anyway - it was WEIRD!
and i asked him what the heck for

he said it was because Bella just poured over him over and over about how great he was and stuff

i tend to agree - but thats probably why my favorite part is the beginning when they are fighting/flirting
so cute! XD XD XD

anyway. yeah. i hope Crys has more sense and loves Eddie as much as we do.

exactly my point!

i just didn't like the love parts so much
too mushy i guess, lol
i liked the action at the end with the doods wanting to kill her - and the beginning with them flirting
those were my favorite ^0^

I wouldn't really call it flirting... But those parts were still my favourite partsof the book anyway. I still loved the "love" parts. Even if they were mushy, they were unbelievably sweet.

my all time favorite part was the fainting and going to the nurse's office
i just love picturing Edward's crooked smile at the idea that Bella faints at the sight of blood
TOO perfect! XD

my other favorite scene is when Edward saves her from those creeps in the alleyway and tells her to say something to calk him down
I can just see his slight smile at her saying she is going to run dood over
-^.^- soooo cute!

I thought it was so cute when Edward thought Mike had killed Bella or something. I can quote huge slabs from the book...

I don't really have a favourite part, becuse most Edward scenes were up-there anyway!

Eddie.. Hehehe.

Yeah, the way Bella obsessed over his perfectness annoys me at times. Because even though we know he isn't real, it just makes it more obvious that because he is perfect he isn't real.
Sigh.

And they just get too mushy at times. Still an awesome book though!! I also really like the scene when they are in the hospital and he won't tell Bella why he saved her and that whole convo. Just that entire part where she has to ride in the back and he doesn't.. He can leave and she can't. Just that whole bit. Hehe.. I can imagine the different looks on his face.
