Okay.

So.

New Moon, folks. Because, you know.. I've read it now Cool

AHHH! JACOB!!! I am TOTALLY in love with Jacob right now. Totally in love.
He is adorable!

I mean, obviously I still love my Edward... But.. Jacob!
Stephenie better make a happy ending for him, otherwise i MAY just kill her. (After all the books are out.) I was just.. Awwww!
And Oh my God! The October.. November.. Time passes bit. That was so sad. I was... So emotional about that bit.
I agree with what everyone said up there, about Stephenie being an amazing writer. She was awesome in Twilight, but this is just... Phenominally awesome. (Phawesome!!! hehe).
I felt what Bella felt! Not as strong as what she did, but I still felt it! It was crazy. I really wasn't expecting that to happen.

For me, it felt like the book was three different parts; The part with Edward leaving (Oh my God!) and her Zombie-state; the part with Jacob and her life beginning again (as if he never existed.. *CRIES*); then the final part with Bella in Italy.
It was just so well set out.

And I LOVE the part near the end-- [Warning, i don't want to spoil it for anyone.. (Ammy), but you rpobably know this part anyway. Still. Don't say i didn't warn you...]-- When Bella puts it up to a vote, and Edward explains about his 'loophole'. I don't have the book with me (my friends have gone insane and are readng it), so I don't know the exact quote. It is something like
"Nice work brother" (Emmet gives Edward high five)
"Yes"
"Nice.."
"Idiots"

I forgot who was who (except that the last part is Alice), but.. I LOVE THAT BIT! I don't know why.. It just completely highlights that they ARE a family and.. It is hilarious!

Oh, and i totally LOVE Alice so much more now! She is FAWESOME!!

Ahh.

Love.

Yes!! Haha, i love it. I just love it when Jasper joins in, as you don't ever see much of him. Apart from the whole nearly-eating-Bella-thing, but that SO doesn't count.

Teehee.

Question: Did we ever find out about Quil? It's just, i read it pretty quickly, as my friends wanted to read it and I'm just greedy, so I don't remember if Quil's story was ever cleared up. I would hate for him to be just left hanging. Or maybe he will be part of Eclipse? I felt so sorry for him.. I hope he turns into a werewolf.

nope, he was left hanging pretty much. the other wolves thought that it might not happen because the vampires left...but with the vampires coming back it is likely that Quil will turn.

the thing that makes Jacob such a grippable character, is that his change is sudden. you don't see it happen. first he's the perfect charming sunshine friend that makes you feel like you're living again, and you think he's adorable and funny....and then suddenly he's this stick (i'd say ball, but he's very upright) of anger that's just simmering on the surface. he doesn't smile like he used to, and suddenly he isn't sunshine anymore. he's become something dark, just like the rest of your world. you spend so much of the time after he changes pining for the old Jacob, for anything that will bring him back. that makes him SO strong because you see that in people you know in real life.

i so wish i could write a character like that. *pouts*

*LUCK*

I think Quil will turn then for sure. Probably in Eclipse.
Especially now that Edward and co are back.

Exactly! It was such an emotional book, when reading the bit after October/November etc the pages were all blurry because I was sobbing my eyes out!

I'm re-reading Twilight at the moment, but after I'll re-read New Moon because I think I'll appreciate it more the second time.

It's weird to think I only discovered these books at the beginning of this week!

Wow dude! Good job in being up to re-reading them!! Haha.
The first high after reading Twilight/New Moon is awesome.
The best.

*Imagines Edward in a tux*
Oh gosh. Imagine-- Wedding!
They better get married.

I can imagine it being them eloping in the meadow on a bright sunny day with Edward sparkling his little arse off. Perfect.

So, now my friend has read it and loves it.
She still completely loves Edward.
And thinks Bella is a fool for not marrying Edward.

I have given New Moon some time to process, and have come to this conclusion:
I am in love with Jacob Black.

*sigh*

I'm sorry Edward, but you have deverted back down to lust status.
Possibly even, *shudder* crush status.
I can't help it! Jacob is just so... awww.
The only thing that Edward wins over Jacob is the fact that Edward is cold and Jacob is hot.
I love the cold to DEATH!
Hehe, ironic.

So, i think i have gone over to the light side.
Take me, Jacob! Hahaha.
His downfall = his height. Too tall, man!!
Hehe.

Oh my God I love his heat and his height. I'm quite tall.
I think Jacob is much more intense than Edward. Edward is vanilla ice cream and Jacob is really yummy dark chocolate.

Although I STILL cry when Edward leaves, and get happy when he gets back, because I feel what Bella feels while I read through her point of view. I love them together.

Yeah, exactly. And then I think of Twilight and his... Edwardy-ness. *sigh*
I still think I have turned to Jacob though. I told another friend that today. She squealed and hit me. Kinda hard, too... *rubs shoulder*

I'm relatively average height, if not below. And... Hehe. Well, i made myself so cold today that my big toe was blue when i took my socks off. It was really scary. And I couldn't feel it! Haha.
So, maybe a bit of Jacob warming me up is long overdue...

*droools* Steven Strait as Jacob FOR SURE!

Apart from the fact that he's 10 years older than the actual character and looks like a 31 year old, yeah. Rolling Eyes

Stoooop. Please.

Please? I'm sure there are some StevenStevenasJacobBlack hate clubs out there. Go pay the $1.25 entry fee and bash all you like. Just stop repeating the same things about his age here. And no, he's not 10 years older than Jacob... Ash told you that.

There are pros and cons about having Steven Strait as Jacob.

First of all Yes he looks a little old to be playing a 15 year old, especially in in Twilight. He is 21, however much older actors have played much younger characters. I feel that Steven is a good choice for Jacob in New Moon after but not for Twilight. In Twilight he hadn't filled out yet and still looked young. IN New Moon after he changed he did look older so Steven would be ok to ply Jacob... that is if the movie was being filmed now but it's not so that sucks.

I just feel that they should choose a cast of nobodies and forget about the stars. one it will be cheeper and people wont be able to compare them to characters that they played in the past.

thats what i think too
but they will probably end up picking a known star for bella
just cause they need that anchor and there are SO many options for her

but i know steven couldn't be jacob
i was just saying that when i read the book, he was who popped into my head
so he will always be THE jacob for me
even if its only the one in my head, lol ^0^

I agree with Suz about casting nobodies. I'd like it better, and it would make them more..."real" so to speak.
Oddly, I wouldn't mind someone else being Jacob, because SS has been my Zane, from the moment that I read the character. my ONE HUGE REQUIREMENT for Jacob is that he has an amazing smile. Why can't SS have a little brother? haha

Also agreed about casting nobodies ... and they'd better look the part as well as being able to act the part. So hard Surprised

I had a dream with Edward in last night Smile I wanted to go straight back to sleep when I woke up!

I LOVED New Moon. I didn't like Bella much- but I liked her A LOT better than in Twilight. Edward still is a hateable character for me. LOVED Jacob- and Charlie.
