I belive as of right now Breaking Dawn is the final.. but since Twilight was supposed to be a solo book i am still hoping that this is subject to change.

and then there will hopfully be Midnight Sun. Twilight but in Edward's PoV

Breaking Dawn is the continuation of the Story.

Midnight Sun is the story that you are putting down.

August 2nd seems to utterly far away
All I know is that I will stop reading it if one of two things happens:
1) Jacob Black dies (that is UNACCEPTABLE!!!)
and 2) Bella gets turned into a vampire (no. just. no!)
But other than that, I know it will be wonderful ^o^

when I read the release date, not only did I share it with my friends...
I called my mom to tell her.
and then I called my grandma. My grandma is a huge Twilight fangirl. it's kind of funny actually. she was really mad when she finished Eclipse that we didn't know when the next one would be out.

I wonder if how well the Host does will have any affect on how Breaking Dawn sells.

I don't want Bella to be willingly turned...I don't want her to just step into it saying 'turn me.'
That didn't happen with anyone else in the Cullen family, and it would cheapen it if that was the case for her. Yes, she loves him, but no one should chose to do that to theirself. It's committing suicide.
If Bella turns, I want it to happen because the only alternative to being turned is death. Even if that is what she wants, it isn't planned, and it will be when she's already in some sort of pain. That sounds so twisted...haha

But so logical. I agree with what you said there. But it needs to be in an extreme situation. Like at the end of Twilight, there was a chance she could be saved, which she was. So it has to be worse than that.

Oh come on Meg, that's so primary school. I was merely stating the truth. It's going to be a book full of Edward sitting in his car and staring at Bella's house, or listening to music in his CD shop of a room, so...

Cover aparently released... I got this from a friend but I don't know if i should believe it or not. Because the cover isn't supposed to be released until the special edition of eclipse comes out so i don't know how legit this is... it really doesn't go with the others so i have my doubts.

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y88/XoCupCakeoX/00079t6w.jpg?t=1211591697

the words under neath say:
"Don't be afraid," I murmured
"We belong together."
I was abruptly overwhelmed by the truth of my own words.
This moment was so perfect, so right.
There was no way to doubt it.
His arms wrapped around me
holding me against him...
It felt like every nerve ending in my body was a livewire
"Forever," he agreed.

Wait.. So that book is meant to be Breaking Dawn?
How?

And the cover.. It isn't like the others, but then it kind of is. Maybe Stephenie Meyer is trying to hide the fact that it leaked?
Or maybe somebody is having WAY too much fun messing with everybodys heads. Either way, I like chess. Heh.

i think it might be legit
but it just seems so off
the use of the chess board is so not 'her'
i can understand just a chess piece or two for the color scheme
but then one would look smaller...hmm
she needed the chess board to make it work
otherwise we wouldn't get it

and even if i may not be the real cover, lets think about the meaning
a giant white queen (that is a queen piece right?) and a tiny red pawn in the background
if its a white queen it might be Bella (simply because she is the female focus of the novels)
but what does it mean that she is such a powerful piece?
what does it mean that she is so close to us?
and the little red pawn?
who is that?
is it red because of blood?
it is Edward?
if its Edward then why is Bella so powerful and Edward is just a simply pawn?

there is so much about this cover that confuses me
but it could be legit
i am going to bet that it might be
leaks happen all the time

I love this cover - but there is no way Bella is the queen. She's probably the pawn - being all red and stuff because Edward's attracted to her blood - and Edward is the queen because it's pure white (like his skin) and powerful, majestic, whatever. I don't think this book is going to be good - she's just going to be re-writing Twilight all over again, not to mention Edward's life is boring with a capital B.

If that cover is legit, then I think Bella is supposed to represent both chess pieces. The red pawn represents her human life, the white queen her new powerful vampire one...if that happens. heh

What happened to her truck?! Or did I completely miss something?
I'm envious of her car. Whatever it is, it sounds fast and shiny.
What else do you need in a car?

Oh, and a though.. Maybe big white is Edward and little red is Jacob? (In related to chess piece cover, that is.) Just a thought.

so my friend and i went to the mall yesterday and we sat and read the beginning chapter so i guess my little rant needs a
SPOILER ALERT @.@

i really hate that Bella doesnt have her truck
i cant see her driving that indestructable shiny car
but i guess since its indestructable then its a good plot device
car chases
vroom vroom ^.^

i really didn't believe her parents reactions
her dad would be more fuming
and her mom would be through the roof
but whatevs, lol
^-^

i miss Jacob already
nuuuuuuuu
i mean i know that he is most likely going to come back, but still

and i really didn't like the wedding stuff
i mean i know that its inevitable
but i still dont like it
and i really dont want Bella to become a vampire

the way the first chapter went cant be a preview for the whole rest of the book
that would be really predictable on Stephenie's part and there needs to be crazy twists and turns since this is seemingly the last installment in the series

overall: i know this rant sounds like im being a pouty fangirl
but i really do feel like a pouty fangirl
and it makes my face sad to think that this whole series could just end like the first chapter details
no no no!
*stomps foot cause she is being ridiculously unfair to Stephenie in her ranting and whining

The wedding's too soon, it's a huge rush. Especially that Bella and Edward seem like people that haven't been in a lot of relationships - I'd say both of them have dated about one person so far in their lives (each other).

SPOILERS OUT THE WAZOOO!!!!
KEEP AWAY IF YOU DONT WANT TO KNOW!!!!

turn back now while you still can children!!!!!

Alright so:
I just read the first seven chapters
Thanks to someone on my LJ that posted the link to a way to download it via MegaUpload
And by some saving grace I was on before she took it down (due to copyright stuff I think)
and nabbed it

here is my analysis:

and I am really NOT liking where this is going
Bella whined about stuff in chapter one
They cuddled in chapter two
They got married in chapter three
Danced at the afterparty in chapter four
(At this point Jacob made an apperance and I adore him for getting angry at the situation: Bella wants to be a human and sex Edward up, which angers Jacob cause she could get really hurt and its fucking insane, but yeah, meh lurvs deh Jacob)
Left for a secret island in chapter five
Had sex in chapter six and Edward pouted cause he bruised her arms

[at which point they did this bit:
"I hurt you."
"I dont feel any pain cause I am with you."
"I am sad and angry with myself cause I hurt you."
"Are you deaf? I just told you that I was fine teddybear. Lets cuddle."
"No. I want to pout and brood and blame myself for bruises on your arms cause I would never hurt my sweet peanut. Nobody hurts my little persnicketty pillow."
"Now you are making me mad cause you are sad."
"No! You cant be angry. What do I do to fix it?"
"Dont be sad."
"Alright."
-sex again-]

And just when I think I am about to rip my hair out from boredom there is a chapter where Bella sits around the island eating, watching tv, sleeping, and eating some more
And chapter seven children is this:
Bella.

is pregnant!

oh noooooooes!!!!

Yeah. But I knew that, lmao XD
Spoilers = so great ^.^

So yeah
If you want more details on the chapters just PM me
But trust me, its not worth it
*headdesk*

Oh my God. this has got to be bogus. please please pleeeeeaase let it be bogus.

I love that you used persnicketty pillow...haven't heart that in awhile.

this makes me really depressed. a secret island? SEX?!?
I mean, Stephenie would never promote pre-marital sex, but I can't believe they had sex at all...

I want to stab myself.

Well, at least Jacob is officially all mine, HA.

yeah but remember that this book is YA and she is quite religious (i believe) so I expected it to be the way she had written it. All the build up and then the next morning.

Ew. Bella's baby?
FUCK.

Pardon my swearing, but FUCKING HELL, THIS SUCKS.
What a stupid stupid stupid thing to do. Just... everything.
FUCK. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, I can't stop now.
It's going to turn out as shitty as HP7, I bet.
God, those spoilers have turned me off the book for life.

I read a bad part and then thought, "Shit, this is bad."
But then it got worse.
And worse.
And worse.
Secret islands (FUCK!), sex (FUCK!) multiple times (FUCK!), pointless chapter involving doing absolutely nothing productive on a secret island (FUCK!).

And worst of all, a pregnant Bella (FUCK!).
Is that even freaking possible? Oh my god. She has a half-dead baby. She has hundred year old semen inside her. FUCK! That is truly disgusting. Excuse me while I go vomit and utter obscenities.

Actually, Meg, do you still have the chapters? I feel a strong urge to make this even worse for myself by reading them. Copyright laws can go to hell. Or go to a secret island (still. cannot. believe. how. unbelievably. stupid. that. is.)

Edit: Actually, forget that. It seems someone's already sent me the files in an email! haha. I'm downloading the second one right now, but it's Book 2: Jacob. So I guess I have around 14 chapters or something, although I'm not sure.
Now I have to prepare for reading them. God, this is going to be so incredibly difficult.

Edit 2: OH MY GOD IT IS JACOB'S POV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I glanced over it quickly because I haven't read the start, but I think that the pack wants to

*SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS*

*ACTUALLY THEY MIGHT BE SPOILERS, I ONLY GLANCED AT THE THING*

attack the Cullens.

hahahaha, that's not really that big a deal. but they're planning an ambush, apparently.

I am so disturbed. I might read the book and vomit at the same time.

I'm still holding out hope that it's bogus...

It might be incredibly stupid, but bogus it is not. This is the real deal. All these spoilers are coming from actual scanned copies of the book. It looks legit to me (and seriously, you can't convincingly make up 203 pages of Breaking Dawn).

When I got the HP7 spoilers, I didn't want to believe they were true. But then they turned out to be true, and those were just somebody's COMMENTS on the chapters of the book, and not the book itself.

HAHAHAHA!

I know this sounds horrible - and heck, I AM being horrible - but in a weird, horrible way I'm happy it sounds so bad. WHEN CAN VAMPIRES GET PREGNANT? And ew to that sex; that just RUINS the whole set-up of innocent gentleman-y boyfriend that will never have sex with you my twelve-year-old cousin fell in love with Twilight for.

HAHAHAHAH, OH MY FREAKING GOD...

I crapped up when I read Ammy's comment on "a hundred year old semen"; so true!!! How utterly disgusting, let's face it. I hope THe Quileutes attack Alice; I hate that bitch! Fine, but she is better than Esme&Edward... hmm, everyone killed - Rosalie. I actually like her.

This ending sounds even crappier than the horrible Series Of Unfortunate Events: The End ending - how crap was that end!? We got NO answers, but then I actually LIKED that series.

And what is it with this creepy S&M shit!? Someone should tell Meyer getting bruises after having sex is NOT sexy. And what about the feathers; demented passion? Sounds like Meyer got carried away. Oh boy, oh boy... I hope all the fangirls get pissed.

*blinks*

*laughs hysterically*

Hahaha, wow. After I read Twilight, I always thought that in the last book, Edward would magically! become! human! and/or that Bella would get pregnant. Hahahaha.

But...Jacob imprints on a baby -- a freak of nature baby? That is SO wrong on so many levels.

The baby will probably be named Bella, Jr. >.<

I'm sorry for you guys. After getting hooked (more or less) on a series for years, it shouldn't end so...well, bad and weird.

They have sex three times by my count, and all while Bella is human.

I read the first part of the book (until Jacob's POV kicks in) and I had to get my thoughts about random things down somewhere, so I'm sticking them here.

Be warned! They're SPOILERIFIC.

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS!

Chapter One:

It’s actually very readable at this stage (chapter one). With the coming events though, I’m on guard.

“I miss my truck,” I whimpered.
Um… ew? I dislike that quote immensely.

And the flashback to the night Edward and Bella told Charlie they were getting married? SO awkward. It feels forced and out of place (but then, flashbacks always are). I just didn’t expect Stephenie to do something like this, although she had to do it in some way, I suppose.

Edward’s spiel during the flashback? WEIRD. It’s just a giant block of uninterrupted speech. “Hi Charlie, how’s it going? I asked Bella this question a few days ago and even though I should have asked you and oh my god hamsters are cute and yeah, so she said yes. We’re getting married, Charlie. I love her more than the world itself! She is the macaroni to my cheese!”
It feels like something out of an Audrey Hepburn movie. Actually, I imagined Edward saying it in that distinct voice that Audrey has. Maybe that’s why I find this so very weird.

I liked Renée’s response to the news. It’s different to what I expected, but I don’t even particularly care all that much about the book. So whatever. It’s all good.

Bella’s happy place… Oh lord, kill me now. She still treats Edward like a deity.

Chapter Two:

Okay, the weirdest thing just happened. The thought of a bare-chested Edward made me almost gag. What?! Something really strange has happened between now and the last time I read Eclipse. I’m not all that surprised, though. I knew the indifference was coming.

Gosh, Bella is really awkward with all this “being close to a guy” stuff. “Practice makes perfect” was almost laughable. hahaha.

Gah, how STUPID is Bella? Honestly, people who claim “it’ll be alright” even when the facts mostly point the other way irritate me sometimes. Well, Bella does. She’s playing with her life to have sex. Great. And she ignores Edward when he says he can’t control himself well when he’s that close to her.

“He’d have to find a new hobby.” teehee. That’s quite true.

I am getting bored senseless by Edward and Bella being all lovey-dovey (haha I can’t believe I said that) with each other and constantly going over the same. topics. repeatedly. And all the putting-hands-over-the-other’s-lips.

Bella can’t share. lol. “You’d better get him home on time.” WELL, HE’S ALWAYS AT YOUR GODDAMN HOUSE.

There’s small things about this that I really like. Such as the very literal callbacks to the various talents the Cullens have. It’s so cute and fun. haha.

Chapter Three:

Okay, so it’s sweet that Bella cried. This chapter is quite good.

“Mike and Jessica… were holding hands, to my surprise. I hadn’t heard they were together again. That was nice.” *snort* The abruptness of that last sentence and the obvious superficiality in it is hilarious.

I have to admit, Bella and Edward together are really quite nice, when it’s all in small doses and they don’t go around in circles discussing sex.

Edward and Esme as Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. hahaha, this is great. Although now I’m imagining Edward actually AS Fred Astaire. It’s distinctly odd.

eeeeeeeeeeeee, Jacob! This is the best part of the book yet. I can just tell by how I feel when I read it. I’m going to be riding along on my emotions for the entire novel.

Jake’s response to the honeymoon thing is such a relief. It feels so normal. Thank god there’s a character I can always believe and like. whoo!

Fast forward to the BRUISING SEX! Thank god Edward promised to change her, or else they’d wake up every morning and do the usual, “I BRUISED YOU Oh my God.” “YOU’RE KILLING MY BUZZ, HUBBY!” routine. It was sort of okay the first time Edward mentioned it, but then it escalated into 3 pages of annoying banter.

It’s kind of funny how Bella’s all, “It was the best night of my life, but all I can remember about it is that… it was the best night of my life. Best night. Best night. *eyes zone out*”

Oh my god, the scene when she wakes up from that dream and Edward treats her like a five year old is so incredibly stupid. And beginning where the dream had left off… *dies* So. Ahhhhhhhhhh. Hate. Hate.

Oh, for god’s sake, all this sex is getting ridiculous. Thanks, but no thanks. I don’t particularly want to read about the lead-up to every time they do it. It’s as thought these chapters are all about the action, with little bantering conversation thrown in to link them all.

And the PREGNANCY.
Freaking hell, this is the most disturbing pregnancy ever. She’s showing within five days of becoming pregnant? The whole half-vampire thing is disgusting. And the baby’s kicking… Pregnancy can be a beautiful thing, but this is freakish.

---

If you didn't read any of that, you should be glad. But actually... seeing as you all know Bella gets pregnant, please read that last bit. She's not only pregnant with a vampire baby, but there's most disturbing stuff to add to this. I... don't want to know more.

Jacob imprinting on Bella's child is definitely wrong. I hate the thought of it so much. Ugh.

Still, Bella's freaky pregnancy is the worst part so far. And the sex. And island.

*ever*

BAHAHAHAHAHHA... Sorry, but this is just too goddamn funny! I really want to read this now, just to see for myself. It sounds horrible! Yay Stephenie Meyer! I wonder if the fangirls (no offence intended to anyone) will like this or not. Just because it IS Breaking Dawn they'll all probably like it.

But err.. Seriously? This entire book is based off ... sex?
Yay YA Vampire books, ey?

we don't know it yet, but Edward IS going to become human again. Can't you tell?

seriously. this is so disappointing. why couldn't she have just stopped at Eclipse?
wasn't this the one she didn't want to publish in the first place? LAME.

oh god, yes. I'm hoping that Jacob's POV redeems the book at least a little.
But then he's going to imprint on the baby. *pukes* He's in love with the freaking mother.

I don't think the entire book is based on sex. Just the first 150 or so pages.
...Yeah. Not fun.

Also, have I mentioned there's this crazy cleaner woman in Breaking Dawn who keeps popping up at their island!house because she thinks Edward is going to kill Bella? hahahahaha. And that Bella remembers the day she looked at Vampires A-Z and there was one particular vampire (an "incubus" i think) that could impregnate humans?
...Yeah. Not fun either.

Actually, screw that. OH MY FREAKING GOD. I am in love with this book already, two sentences into Jake's POV.

Why? Well, this:

PREFACE

Life sucks, and then you die.

Yeah, I should be so lucky.

HAHAHAHAHAHAH, LOVE. JACOB. Seriously, though, it took me completely by surprise. Just a few words on an otherwise blank page. Love. It. So. Much.
I'm trying to forget about Bella's POV. heh.

Right now, fans are more focused on her new book. Unlike the final Potter book, copies haven't leaked out.

Oh come on, they can't be that out-of-the-loop, can they? Obviously they have been leaked.

And that, "life sucks and then you die" quote has been used in countless fan fics.

Nooooooooo!!! The "life sucks and then you die" bit is like a quote. Like the Genesis quote in Twilight.

It's Jacob response to it that's HILARIOUS. You need to have the actual experience of looking onto a new page, a new section of the book, and being faced with that immediately. It's so Jacob, so perfect.

Just finished Book Two: Jacob. My thoughts on it:

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS (although if you're still here, you must already know there's going to be a ton of spoilers...)

The chapter titles are actually really funny.

I think Jacob’s POV is so strong, it’s really easy to read and I wanted more. But that doesn’t come as much of a surprise to me, seeing as it’s Jacob. Although, I’m sure pretty much everyone, regardless of their position on Jacob, would enjoy these chapters. His tone is so hilarious, and so very Jacob. You actually don’t get tired of him, even when he goes over the same points repeatedly, unlike Edward and Bella continually having the sex talk.

He calls the Cullen house a “big white crypt”. hahahahahaha.

Can I say the scene where Jacob sees pregnant Bella at the Cullen house is sort of pathetic? The way everything plays out… like a nineteenth century novel where someone is “dreadfully ill with a cold”.

I’ve been wondering why Bella decided to keep the baby, even when Edward and the Cullens were prepared to do the opposite if she wanted. And then I read this:

Quote:
Jeez, she was running true to form. Of course, die for the monster spawn. It was so Bella.

So stupid. So Bella. Agree completely with Jacob.

Edward keeps groaning and moaning! It’s so irritating! Seriously, every line of dialogue ends with “Edward groaned/moaned.” He’s become all self-loathing again, only now it’s with a much greater intensity.

…Edward just asked Jacob to have children with Bella. *headdesk* This. Is. Ridiculous. He actually said, “She can have puppies, if that’s what it takes.”

Oh, lord. Kill me now. In the midst of all this, Bella just supposedly quoted The Simpsons. It was so damn cheesy.
“Did you know that ‘I told you so’ has a brother, Jacob? His name is ‘Shut the hell up.’”
“Good one.”
She grinned at me. “I can’t take credit—I got it off a rerun of The Simpsons.”

Bella thinks her pregnancy is “magic”. She compares it to Imprinting. To A Midsummer Night’s Dream. God, this is stupid.

Ohhhhhhh fuuuuuuuuuuuck. The baby is kicking her so hard it’s BRUISING HER. Black and purple, guys. Black and purple. This is truly disturbing. Why is this pregnancy so… ugh. The book really impresses upon us that the baby is killing her.

And the story cuts off just as the pack is about the attack the Cullens after finding out about the baby. I have 40 more pages, though, but I just got them and it’ll be a few more minutes till I have them.

----

Edit: I read the next 40 or so pages. A few points:

- I forgot to mention this before, but Rosalie is helping Bella through all this. The Cullen family all know it's because she wants the baby, although she claims it's to help Bella.

- Jacob doesn't go through with the attack. Despite Sam ordering him to go as the Alpha, Jacob... accepts his own natural position as the Alpha of the pack, and he's thus able to resist the order and leave.

- Seth follows Jake, and at this point they realise that they have become a pack of their own. They cannot hear Sam, Leah, Quil Embry, Jared, etc, and their thoughts. Seth and Jake warn the Cullens about the pack.

- Bella is dying. She's attached to an IV drip and everything. The baby is starving her because it has enormous needs. It's actually killing her.

- The pack doesn't attack that night, but the next morning, Leah turns up to join Jake. She says she's there for Seth, but she wants to get away from Sam, for obvious reasons. Jake lets her stay after much arguing.

- Carlisle tells Jake that vampires have 25 pairs of chromosomes, and werewolves have 24.

- Bella is close to death. She isn't getting any nutrients from any food, and even intravenous fluid isn't being absorbed by her body. Carlisle can't figure out what will satisfy the baby.

- Jacob thinks the baby will want blood, like its bloodsucker father. It's just one of many similar thoughts, but Edward hears, and he gets the idea of feeding it blood. Rosalie is overly eager to do this, and Edward confirms Jacob's thoughts that it's just to save the baby - she doesn't particularly care about Bella.

- As there's no other option, they realise the only way to feed the baby blood will be to make Bella drink it. Or they'll put a tube down Bella's throat and make her drink blood.

That's all I know. heh.

Ew. This baby sounds really freaky; even worse than Audrey's baby and it'll probably end up looking like Ari from Maximum Ride. With the whole half-of-one-side and half-of-another. The real question is: why does she want to keep it? If it's going to kill her, then she shouldn't - really. Gross, sounds like the baby is going to end up eating her.

And seriously, why shouldn't Edward be moaning and groaning? Not only is his personality WAY past its use-by-date, he's like 120! This guy should be sitting on a rocking chair playing bingo.

I bet Bella dies.
